Born : 9 December 1579 Died: 3 November 1639
Martin de Porres Velazquez OP was a Peruvian lay brother of the Dominican Order who was beatified in 1837 by Pope Gregory XVI and canonized in 1962 by Pope John XXIII.

He is the patron saint of the mixed race people, barbers, innkeepers, public health works and all those seeking racial harmony, and animals

This vintage statue has a classic style and was totally and intricately repainted with a very glossy finish
We added some religious icons and trimmed in gold vintage rope trim and purple velvet . Green Bead Chaplet. Back is green velvet and metal verdigris and bonze color cross
Original markers on back base: 1938 and illegible letters
Measures 8.5" Tall to top of the statue
and Base 2.25" Square
