Devotional Art Statue by 2nd Hand Revival Art Gallery - Hoping that each piece brings comfort in it's presence as a positive thought in your daily life. Some people create altars and others put a small voitive candle in front of the art or a small vase of flowers .

2nd Hand Revival takes antique and vintage religious statues that have had prior age use & discolor or damage and turns each piece into a unique piece of art !
Our pieces are not perfect and we don't want them to be perfect. We are 2nd Hand Revival as we bring back to life these beautiful vintage statues.
We hand paint all details and add our personal touch of iconic embellishments.
Statue is vintage a chalkware /plaster . He came to us with very little paint left on him and lots of dings and dents on the surface.
We hope you can offer him a new life as he really is a beautiful piece of art !


This Vintage Chalkware /Plaster Statue has no original makers marks on the chalkware

The Crown is antiqued gold and red paint (glossy finish) .. at top is a beautiful aurora borealis faceted glass ball bead .

We painted a True Red and Gold to the cape. Inside of Cape is a Pearlized Off White and Soft Gold (Gloss paint surface)

Collar is part of the chalkdware statue . We added faux pearl trim beads .. Red Ric Rack gives a match to the crown red color.
Sleeve Cuffs are vintage lace and added some stiffening to the fabric to keep it in place.
Dress is a metallic gold paint with clear stone detailing at top and at bottom a Goldish Tan bead detail .

Big Heart of flannel and hand embroidered ( can be removed)

Globe has been painted in multi blues mottled style with a clear rhinestone bead around the white pearl cross .

A small Virgin Mary medal attached to the sleeve
White Fabric Flower at base

2 sets of rosary beads - one is black ( on back: my holy communion) . Peridot Green Faceted Glass Bead Rosary and silvertone crufifix ( can be removed or adjusted).

Pearl Beads and Gold Rope Trim at base .

Back : Antique Brass Color Metal Fleur de Lis and beneath is the Virgin Mary in an oval Handmade frame. all set on antique embroidered fabric .
Small detail above the fleur de lis at top and antique bead button in a silvertone at bottom of base center.

Gold Base is a gloss finish .
Face has been softly painted - Gold paint highlites the hair.
Approximately Measures 17.5" Tall to top of the top & 5.5" wide across base.
